Whilst offering immense pleasure in its youth the Woodcutter's Shiraz will no doubt develop into an impressive wine with a few years in the cellar.
Medium- to full-bodied with aromas and flavors of cherry, blackberry, plum and smoke. Integrated tannins and acids round out an enjoyable finish.
Fruit sourced from six parcels planted in northwestern Barossa Valley was fermented in cement, wood and stainless steel vats for 6-7 days. The must was basket pressed into neutral hogsheads and French oak foudres for 12 months, the wine was bottled without fining or filtration.
