The Abacela 2012 Albarino is dominated by scents and tart palate impingements of green apple, lemon zest, and chervil. Its firm feel and tartness are compensated-for to some extent by primary juiciness in an invigoratingly brisk finish. But I would plan on enjoying this over the next 6-9 months.

We have made Albarino since 2001 from 100% estate grown fruit. This Galician style wine exhibits aromas and flavors of crisp green apple, pear, mango, and delicate apple blossom all carried on a frame that skirts the razors edge between creamy textures and steely minerality.We recommend pairing this wine with steamer clams, lemon wedges and crusty bread. Drink over the next 3 years; earlier if you seek crispness, later if you prefer greater complexity.
