I purchased a case of the 2012 Daou Cab. I did not receive the case when expected. When I inquired, I was told it was on back order. I was given another date that the product would be in the warehouse. That date passed and I inquired again. I was told that it should be coming in and was given another date. That date passed as well. When I finally received the order, it was a case of 2013 Daou Cab. When I inquired and asked for an explanation, I was told that the 2012 was no longer available. (I find it interesting that Wine Chateau still advertises the availability of the 2012 Daou Cab when they can no longer get it) I asked for a partial refund and was told a refund could not be issued. I could have purchased the 2013 at a store for 19.99 a bottle and not paid the delivery charge. Each time my delivery date passed, I was not contacted by Wine Chateau. I had to contact Wine Chateau and was then given an excuse for the lack of delivery of the product when promised. Prior to delivery, I was never asked if the 2013 would suffice. I was never contacted to even be notified that the delivery was different than what I had actually ordered. Wine Chateau delivered an inferior product and charged me $7.00 more per bottle for that product. I love Daou wine, but I will NEVER order through Wine Chateau again. I have found a store that can get the 2012 Daou Cab for less than is advertised by Wine Chateau. I went with this company because they rave about their long years of experience in accessing and shipping great wine. I have found this company to be deceptive and money gouging. I would not recommend using this company.
