The Dirty Pure Project The G Spot

98% Old Vine Vermentino and 2% Roussanne from vineyards in Lodi comprise our 2012 edition. While the Lodi appellation is most often associated with Zinfandel and other red grape varieties, a few earlypioneers successfully experimented with white grape varieties which continue to produce excellent fruit. Lodi is adiverse wine region formed thousands of years ago through geological events and alluvial waters. Two major riversoriginating in the Sierra Nevada mountain range feed the Lodi appellation; the Mokelumne and Cosumnes. Theserivers have brought soils rich in granitic-based minerals that lend complex flavors to the wines.Historically Lodi vineyards were developed in the fine sandy loam soils surrounding the community. It’s here alongthe banks of the Mokelumne River. This area is noted for producing uniform and balanced vineyards that deliverintense fruit-driven wines with a rich silky texture. Our 2012 G Spot features spicy, mineral scented aromas of orange blossom, jasmine and pear followed by layers ofmouth filling grapefruit, lime and honeydew melon flavors. Juicy acidity provides a perfect balance with a clean, satisfying finish.A total of only 1,800 cases was produced of this Small Batch Series – Volume 1 by winemaker Charles Hendricks.
