Kim Crawford Pinot Grigio 2012 750ml

Kim Crawford Pinot Grigio

Pale straw with a green tint. Ripe apple and pear are accented by soft nutty and butterscotch notes. Stone fruit and subtle oak lead to a full and rich palate.

Color:Pale gold.Aroma:A delightfully aromatic nose of pear backed up with quince jelly and floral notes.Palate:Fresh, crisp pears on the palate with a generous mouthfeel. Elegant and supple, a wine that delivers lingering flavors of warm, spicy fruit and a bright, clean finish.Cellar:Two to three years with confidence.

Sourced predominantly from the Wairau and Awatere sub-regions of Marlborough, this wine shows intense fruit aromas of pears and quince with floral notes. An ideal wine by itself or paired with fresh seafood, and Asian fusion cuisine. After harvest, the grapes were crushed and direct pressed with minimal skin contact. The clarified juice was then cool fermented to optimise varietal expression, flavor, and intensity. There was no wood and minimal skin contact. We used five different yeasts to ensure that we profiled the fruit and kept the fresh acidity.

An ideal wine by itself or paired with antipasto, fresh seafood, South East Asian cuisine.
