A lovely fresh nose of red currant jam and violets is well defined. The palate is medium in body with crisp red currant and dark cherry accented by touches of fig and marmalade.
This wine rescues an ancient tradition rooted in the depths of the Chilean countryside: making wine in jars of clay. Thus Old Jars has been fermented and aged in amphorae over 100 years and as honestly as possible, without interventions and looking faithfully represent their origin. An old vineyard rainfed Guarilihue area in the Cordillera de la Costa in the Vale of Itata, gives life to this wine, 400 kilometers south of Santiago and just 22 miles from the Pacific Ocean.
