Vintner Giovanni Viberti has crafted a generous and dense Barolo that opens with inky concentration and intense aromas of blackberry preserve and cherry liqueur. Background shadings of leather, tobacco and cured meat round out the palate.
An elegant and complex bouquet rich in spices, strawberries, and wild flowers with notes of dried fruit. Full-bodied in flavor with pleasant bitter hints, dry tannins and a lengthy finish.
Wine Maker Notes
Viberti’s flagship Barolo is a blend of fruit from Viberti’s top vineyard sites. Buon Padre is a complex, full bodied wine that opens with notes of preserved fruit and spices, and is backed by nuances of earth, leather, and wild flowers. It is aged in tini for 36-40 months and is bottled unfiltered before further refining in bottle for 6 months. Approachable upon release, Viberti Buon Padre will only improve with time.
Pairs well with game, beef and seasoned cold cuts.
