Blaah!!!! What a disappointment. Yes, I know its an inexpensive Pinot but even at this price, this is mediocre. My hope was this it might open up a bit, but nope. Thin, slightly rancid, and rather characterless. One of the worst Pinots I've had in a long time.
Mark West was founded in 1978 with one desire only: To craft remarkable California Pinot Noir that delivers exceptional quality at an affordable price. With equal parts patience, hard work, and passion, we’ve followed our dream from vineyard to barrel to bottle, rewarded by knowing that Pinot lovers savor every glass just as much as we do.
Crafted by winemaker Alex Cose, who spent six years at Napa's Peter Michael Winery, the Mark West is touted as the "Pinot for the People." A no-nonsense fruit driven style that combines many of California's top wine growing regions like the Sonoma Coast and the Santa Lucia Highlands into an easy drinking Pinot.
