Aromas of dark chocolate, cedar and juicy blackberry with flavors of ripe summer berries and hints of spice and cracked pepper are supported by supple and persistent tannins.
(95% Cabernet Sauvignon/5% Petit Sirah). The vineyards at the Somerston Estate are located in the eastern hills of Napa Valley and situated at 820-2,400 feet. The grapes from 11 hillside blocks were cold soaked for eight days and fermented for 12-14 days. The wine was aged for 24 months in French oak (35% new) during which it was racked three times in its first year and three in year two.
