Inman Family Chardonnay 2012 750ml

Inman Family Chardonnay

Notes of tropical fruit, apple and melons are wrapped around a core of crisp citrus acidity. The finish features hints of toasted nuts, minerals and ripe lemons.

”We endeavor to grow our grapes and to make our wines as naturally as possible, with as little human intervention as possible, to ensure they embody not only the pure personality of the grapes from which theyre made, but also the singular character of the place where theyre born while at the same time making the smallest impact possible on the land, water and air around us.” - Kathleen Inman

The hand-picked fruit was picked in the morning to preserve varietal integrity and whole cluster pressed. The juice was cold settled overnight and fermented in small stainless steel barrels and new and neutral Vosges oak barrels from Cadus. The wine was stirred weekly until malolactic was complete and monthly thereafter.
