Beautiful and intense cherry red colour, very covered. Bright, with a dense tear which slightly colours the glass. In the nose, it is a powerful and concentrated wine of high intensity with a clear predominance of aromas of juicy very ripe red fruit, over pleasant toasted and balsamic hints and nuances of herbs from Mediterranean mountains. Mineral and spiced background. In the mouth, it follows the same pattern than in the nose: it is a powerful, concentrated and fleshy wine. Very well-structured wine, with a high tannic sensation. Ripe tannins combined with a marvellous acidity which holds the alcoholic load. Very long and very persistent finish.
Sourced primarily from 10- to 15-year-old estate vines, Vall Llach’s Embruix (pronounced “Embroosh”), means “bewitching” in Catalan and the name, along with the picture of a full moon on the wine’s label, are testament to the winery’s interest in biodynamic winemaking. Dark cherry-red in color with a violet rim, the wine has aromas of fresh earth and toasted oak laced with ripe black fruit. In the mouth the wine is ample and intense, with notes of ripe berries, freshly ground cacao and black licorice that linger on the palate. Meant to consume now or age for 20-25 years, this wine should be served between 58-60ºF.
