Liberty Creek Founders Red Blend

Great stuff!

My gal and I discovered Liberty Creek Founders Red Blend recently, after having drank their Merlot for several years. The Merlot is our go-to wine for any occasion, and we've fallen in love with it, especially with the great price that beckons us. In our opinion the Merlot affords the best deal, in terms of quality versus price, for an everyday wine. Thus, we purchase it religiously, keeping the Walgreens' stock girl employed. We haven't found a better deal for our favorite wine than at our close-by Walgreens, so we are very pleased. But one day we discovered the Founders Red Blend there and decided to try it. Our first sip took us aback, because we had become accustomed to the Merlot. My gal was reluctant to try something new, but I told her "Keep an open mind, and think about the founders (of Liberty Creek) coming up with their best blend of different grapes (varietals) ... it might be surprisingly good". She agreed, knowing that when we both tried their Cabernet, we were split on acceptability (I liked it, she didn't). I was surprised to learn, though, after our second glass of this bliss, she declared she liked it better than the Merlot! The biggest surprise to me is that I had tried relentlessly to help her enjoy other brands and varietals, especially award-winning ones (or in a few cases, budget-stretching, discounted ones). But, to no avail. And then suddenly, we're drinking something different, but oh, so wonderful! The Founders Red Blend is a delight to the palate, and I think most people will be very pleased with this wine and treat it not only as an accompaniment, but as an indulgence to their lifestyle.
