The Tequila is quite good. A lime half squeezed with a 1/2 ounce of Grand Marnier and you have a nice drink. Can add a few drops of the agave nectar/sweetener.
Tasting Notes The tradition of tequila has crossed borders and also generations. This fact was the inspiration for Gran Centenario Azul, a Reposado tequila tailored to the new generation. As it ages for two months in charred American oak barrels, Gran Centenario Azul acquires a bouquet with banana, apple, vanilla, woody, and floral notes. Its straw-yellow color and slightly bitter flavor make it an ideal beverage for any social gathering. It is smooth enough to be taken neat, but flavorful enough to be mixed in a cocktail like the Charro Azul or Paloma. Tequila Azul marks a return to the traditional tequila, with a novel presentation that conserves the robust essence of this beverage.
Wine Maker Notes Tenampa Azul is a 100% Agave Reposado Tequila from the House of Gran Centenario – our name derives from Blue Agave or Agave Azul. The tequila is rested in white oak barrels for a minimum of two months before being ready for bottling.
