Decidedly masculine in style with ripe, dense aromas of earthy blackcurrant, black plum and spicy brambleberry fruit mingled with pronounced dark chocolate and roast coffee scents. On the palate, the wine is big, rich and concentrated with intense, spicy black fruit and dark chocolate flavors bolstered by ripe, mouth-coating tannins.
Love this wine, ordered multiple times , great value .
This is our third order of this wine and we always receive great compliments when we serve it.
Great value. Not complex, just easy drinking.
Wine Maker Notes "Feudo di Santa Croce" in Carosino - Taranto - Italy - Ancient Apulian Wines aged in casks. The following wines are produced here: Primitivo di Manduria doc., Negro Amaro and Malvasia Bianca, all of them rigorously aged in Allier barriques. The typical mediterranean climate gives these wines a special fragrance of sun and sea.
Additional Notes Negro amaro, is a red wine grape variety native to southern Italy. It is grown almost exclusively in Puglia and particularly in Salento, the peninsula which can be visualised as the “heel” of Italy. The grape can indeed produce wines very deep in color. The grape produces some of the best red wines of Puglia.
