92 Points Wine Spectator: This delicious red bursts with juicy black cherry, raspberry, tobacco and mineral flavors. This is harmonious and supple, despite its tannic structure. Plays for intensity rather than sheer power. Best from 2012 through 2025.

I purchased a case of this wine. Have had 2 bottles so far and thought both were very good.

I did not enjoy this wine and had ordered a case when another favorite Montepulciano was not available. However, I think the most of Wine Chateau. I called and they were true to the word with the 365 Hassle Free return. Emailed me a pre-paid return shipping label. They did ask what I did not enjoy about the wine and seemed very satisfied my answer. I order alot of wine and they were awesome about taking this case back!

I tried to contact wine chateau about my recent purchase of this wine, but so far had no response from them. I ordered a case and opened the first bottle last week and it was completely undrinkable. Frothy and horrible. I send an e-mail to them asking what my options were. No response. I opened a second bottle tonight to see if it was jsut "bottle shock", but the wine is still completely undrinkable.

I sent them another e-mail , but again no response. I would caution people to know that your investment in wine might be a dudd and they do not respond to questions.

The super special price might be because they know the wine is off?

Stick with names you know. When I get offers from them I don't buy unless I'm familiar with the vineyard.

Notes on the Vecchia Cantina Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano Leone D'Oro D.O.C.G 750ML 2008

Wine Review One of the most underrated and under valued wines in all of Italy is Vino Nobile di Montepulciano from Tuscany. Made 100% from the Sangiovese grape, the best versions can instantly win you over. Today, we offer such a wine, the 2008 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano from Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano. It boasts a 92 rating from Wine Spectator, who called it a "delicious red."

Additional Notes Founded in 1937, thanks to the initiative of 14 pioneering producers, the company started its production in 1940 with its first bottling. After overcoming the difficult years that followed the Second World War and the reorganization of land in the 1950s, Vecchia Cantina, gave a propulsive boost in the 60s and 70s over the whole territory, a role it still maintains today, representing not only an important wine-growing company in Tuscany, but also a valuable association between wine, culture and traditions of Montepulciano.
