Sorry to hear about the disappointment. I own this product and think it would fall into the "good to excellent" range - certainly worth this price. 3 stars! -JRH

Big disappointment!...No nose to speak of, no special quality or nuance in it's taste, no finish. Tasted like jug table wine in a nice bottle.

Notes on the Bodega El Angosto Angosto Tinto Red Blend 750ML 2009

Wine Maker Notes Bodega El Angosto is in a grand old Valencian farm/manor house, Finca Santa Rosa, in the Vall d'Albaida on the Valencia side of Alicante. It belongs to the Cambra family, who have a 150-year old nursery business which this is part of. The Cambra name resonates in today's Valencian wine world largely as a result of the exploits of one of the region's most prominent young winemakers, Rafael Cambra, who is involved in the El Angosto wines in an advisory capacity. Working in conjunction with Rafael Cambra is another young and highly-trained winemaker, the personable and enthusiastic Oscar Priego. Despite the long-established nursery business and the family's relationship with vines as part of this, the El Angosto project dates only from 2004. There are four wines produced here, three reds and one white. The El Angosto is a blend of Syrah, Graciano, Petit Verdot, Garnacha Tintorera and Malbec.

Technical Notes Blend of Syrah, Graciano, Petit Verdot, Garnacha Tintorera and Malbec.
