Powerfully rendered, with thickly layered black currant confiture, boysenberry and linzer torte flavors intertwined with bittersweet cocoa-covered coffee bean and licorice root notes. The finish is chiseled graphite, with good tension that should unwind in the cellar.
Where is this wine from and what variteal of grape is used ?
Stehelin family comes from a lineage of five generations of winemakers. Nicole Frederick and exploit the area and Pied-Paillère Gû since 1978. Bertrand, their eldest son, working by their side since 2001 and has developed in parallel its own brand "Bertrand Stehelin." Their daughter Caroline joined them recently.
The two areas are located on land Gigondas in the Rhone Valley.

According to official documents, the field has existed since 1620. Located in the village of Gigondas, at the foot of the mountain foot Gû with, against the bottom, the chapel Paillère, the field has naturally inherited its name.
