Not the best Chianti I have had. It has bitter overtones and lacks the full body aftertaste I look for. I definitely would not buy it again.
Since its first years of production, Colle D'Istrice has become synonymous with fine Chianti, and it has played a leading role in the development of the privileged position which Tuscan quality wines hold throughout the world today. In many markets this Classico has in fact transcended its category and become known simply as Chianti Classico. It has managed to preserve its excellent reputation through time, thanks to Colle D'Istrice commitment to cultivating the finest Sangiovese grapes on the slopes of the Chianti Classico hills.
