Fruit from the old bushy vines of Hoya de los Lobos vineyard in Cintruénigo and from the prime Finca La Serna vineyard in Marcilla is harvested at optimal ripeness and fruit concentration.
Grapes grown in the Mediterranean climate combine with grapes grown at higher altitudes infl uenced by the Atlantic Ocean, resulting in balanced acidity and structure that lend the wine greater aging potential.
A traditional vinification includes long maceration to extract color and flavor components. The wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 18 months with additional bottle aging to further develop the wine’s complexity.
Deep ruby red in the glass, ripe and soft on the nose with notes of oak and spice, full-bodied in the mouth with a lasting finish.
