Everclear Grain Alcohol 190@

The large size came in an impressive nice glass bottle with glass handle. I could see re-using this nice bottle for other stuff. Smooth, not bitter or strange tasting, as usual. Everybody's always impressed with the stuff I mixed with Everclear. It was a long time since I got it last, so forgot how good it was. Glad I bought the big bottle this time. Making all sorts of delicious cool stuff with it. It's also a good disinfectant, cleaner, & emergency mouthwash (watered down a little) when having a toothache (mouthwash with any vodka well to relieve toothaches too). I imagine it can be used as fuel in alcohol-burning stoves, lamps, & engines too.

Leroux Apricot Flavored Brandy 70@

I've had Leroux brand stuff before. Some of it was pretty good for the price, & some were a disappointment. This is very sweet, sugary, with a hint of fruit flavor. It did not taste like apricot at all. It had a fruit flavor, but didn't taste like any particular fruit. Tasted more like a blackberry schnapps by another company that I had than anything else. Could be artificial flavor, or just not enough flavor to tell with all the sugar & alcohol. Not bad for the price for 70 proof. But if I specifically wanted apricot flavor, I'd try something else. May buy again when I want a fair blackberry schnapps, because it tastes almost the same.

Everclear Grain Alcohol 190@

Going to try to make my own peppermint schnapps with this again. Corn syrup. sugar, mint extract, water, & Everclear. It came out quite well, not quite as good as Rumplemintz but close.

In my area the stores seem to only sell peppermint schnaps as Rumplemintz & a bunch of 30 proof stuff that tastes like garbage. Rumplemitz is almost $40 a liter in my area so it's not practical.

I also ordered a liter 90 proof peppermint schnapps here to try out too. Maybe if it's any good, I won't have to make my own anymore. I see they have 750ml bottles of 100 proof peppermint schnaps too. Maybe I'll try that next time. Both are way cheaper than Rumplemitz. Liters of Rumplemitz are about $8 cheaper here than in the local stores too. They sell it in the local bars for $4-$5 an ounce... Ouch!

Marquette Peppermint Schnapps

In my area, the stores only carry Rumplemintz, & some real lousy artificially flavored 30 proof peppermint schnapps. I noticed Rumplemintz is almost $8 cheaper here than around town. What proof is the Marquette? It doesn't say.
