Baron Herzog Chenin Blanc 2016
Colour: Bright, pale lemon yellow with a tinge of green.
Aroma: Honeyed smokiness, oily, yeasty, baked apple, quince and lemon meringue.
Taste: Off-dry but fresh, medium-light bodied with brisk acidity. Peaches, cream, oil and honeydew melon to taste with a nice semi-sweet but clean fresh finish.
Overall: Really enjoyable, crisp, lively with wonderful honeyed yeasty aromas and taste. Lacks a little in body and a touch sweet for my liking but otherwise no complaints and definitely worth a try.
Light, slightly sweet, surprisingly good and very reasonable price. Semi dry from California.
Fruity notes of white peach, nectarine, pineapple.Young, light, not very sweet (i like it), light to medium in body, light (not enough in acidity). Short finish. Citrus and exotic fruit, just a hint of sweetness.
