Deep purple color with black highlights. Intense and elegant, with ripe black fruit aromas, licorice andspicy notes. Rich and full-bodied on the palate, with harmonious tannins, intense fruity mouth flavors anda long peppery finish.Originating from the left bank of the Dordogne River and also the right bank of the Garonne River, thesoil types vary from gravel to a mixture of clay and limestone. The calcium base soils increase the fruitinessof the wines and the clay soils add additional tannic structure.
Pair with Filet Mignon with Bleu cheese, barbecue ribs or rack of lamb with rosemary and grilled meats,Fermentation took place at high temperatures with daily pumping over and a maceration time of 2 to 3weeks. After malolactic fermentation the wines are blended and aged in vats several months before finingand bottling.
