Grown in well exposed stony, calcareous and clay soils with basalt outcrops in vineyards within the province of Verona, in the region of the Veneto.
Made in the traditional “appassimento” style. The grapes are partially dried before fermentation, resulting in greater concentration, richness, and elegance in the wine.
Color: Deep ruby red in color. Bouquet: Aromas of raspberry and currant with a hint of vanilla. Taste: Smooth and balanced on the palate with velvety tannins.
Pairs well with pasta, grilled and roasted meats, game and cheeses.
Torr’Alta means “highest tower” in Italian. It is a tribute to the tall towers that dotted the Veronese skyline in the Middle Ages, which were the residences of wealthy, noble families.
