Bushmills Irish Honey is new to the US and just in time; this is definitely a honey! The nose entices with elegant clean, creamy aromas of well-made Irish whiskey - green apples, white tea, grains and oak with slight, scrumptious honey laying quietly in the background. The flavors follow suit... Irish Whiskey first and the honey is a soft, lingering and enticing secondary tone that never takes over. The mouthfeel and flavors are incredibly balanced. The finish is subtle, toothsome and lingering with residual honey to savor. This is my new favorite Honey- Whiskey; it is delectable as a cordial, a wonderful aperitif, great with fruit or dessert; you can add it to coffee, tea, cocoa or any cocktail.NOSE - Red ripe apples and sweet cereal‚ buildinginto honey notesTASTE - An initial honey sweetness supported by apples and pears before delivering marshmallows and dusky lavenderFINISH - Medium long‚ moderately sweet and pleasing with a subtle addition of honey“The blenders and distillers have been busy with this new honey infused spirit drink‚ and‚ personally‚ I feel they deserve to put their feet up and enjoy the fruits of their labour. A delicious fruity‚ smooth start that flushes out to a sweet honey buzz on the tongue.”Bushmills is one of the world`s oldest distilleries having been founded in 1608. It is the only distillery in Northern Ireland. Bushmills is distilled in the same kind of copper pot stills that you find in Scotch Malt whisky production. It is distilled three times for increased smoothness. Bushmills Original is a blend of Bushmills Malt Whiskey and Irish grain whisky. It is the cornerstone of the distillery`s production and is clean with touch of honied sweetness and vanilla character.

It is this spirit the inspiration of many legends such as the St. Patrick's, the patron of Irish Whiskey, who taught people how to distillate the spirit. Whiskey dates back to the 15th Century when it was produced by the Monks with the only objective to create a medicine for "healing purposes". It was also produced by farmers in order to make a good use of remaining grains after the harvests.

Finally Found What I Was Looking For

Everything was great. Price was a bit high but no one in California had it so worth the cost. I will definetly buy more from this vendor.

Bushmills Irish Honey Whiskey 0 1.00L

When I lived in Northern Ireland in the 1980's I used to drink a mixture of illegal distilled spirits, which was called "poteen" that was mixed with honey. I was also a frequenter of Bushmills, making it a must see stop for all of my American guests. I am happy to see that Bushmills has brought to the open market that wonderful combination of poteen and honey. Please note that this and all of the Bushmills Single Markets should only be served in a clean glass; do not contaminate with anything else, ice included. Sip and enjoy!
