Campo Viejo Rioja Tempranillo 2015
The bright aroma of wine is characterized by the tones of fresh berries and fruits, among which are dominated by notes of black currant, blueberries and plums, as well as explicit spicy shades and a slight train of nuances of vanilla and coffee. The taste of wine is fresh, expressive, with soft tannins, good acidity and a long pleasant aftertaste. Very pleasant and expressive wine!
It got something more than just 3.0 - fresh bouquet of dark and red berries with cherry in slightly spiced sugar mix.
Dry, high acidity, tannins are averagely strong to keep body tight and at medium level, taste is drinkable and has some stability and soft sweet bitterness , not so fast finishing.
Crimson in color. The four months of oak aging shows on the nose with vanilla and cloves, but it’s still plenty fruity with aromas if cherry cola and strawberry jam. On the palate it’s light bodied with dusty tannin and shining acidity. There’s flavors of cherries, blueberries, dried tea leaf, and vanilla. It finishes tart with cranberries and oak. Year to year this wine is consistently a safe bet, never failing to provide good stuff for the price.
