The Indian summer, the hot and dry meteorological conditions favoured the harvest of optimal maturity grapes to create a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (47%), Merlot (49%) and Petit Verdot (4%). The result is convincing. The nose of this Cambon La Pelouse 2014 is caracterized by its exuberant red fruits (raspberry) and black fruits perfume (blackcurrant) with a touch of pepper. The mouth shows volume and a noble smooth sap taste. The end is without aggressivity. This is a serious and charismatic Haut-Médoc.
The 2014 Cambon la Pelouse is showing better on the nose in bottle than in barrel with plenty of redcurrant and blackberry fruit, a touch of espresso just in the background. The palate, however, is overoaked on the entry and although it maintains balance, it loses a little personality.
