Strong acidity greets you that needs about an hour to mellow out. Aromas of raspberry are predominant. Tastes of sour and red berries, with hints of floral. Even after an hour, this one feels a bit harsh and out of sync.
My experience has been that Fleurie is a lighter style of Beaujolais Cru and this wasn't representative. A lovely easy drinking wine. Good concentrated aroma of rose, red cherry, and hints of nutmeg.
Pale ruby color. Delicate structure with medium plus acidity. Light body, low smooth tannin. Medium finish with some red berry palate. Good to pair both meat and fish, and tasted better when lightly chilled.
