Deep and thick with a ruby black body and garnet rim. Wood, pencil lead, dark fruit jams and a flower bouquet intertwine on the nose with a background of licorice and mild pepper notes.
Full body, medium minus acidity, and fine dry tannins on the palate. Gets more chewy as it opens up further in the decanter (45 min). Chocolate notes appear towards the back of the palate followed by a long finish. An elegant old world Bordeaux.
Good complex nose at a medium intensity with creme de casis, cedar from oak, Christmas preserved fruit cake with cinnamon sprinkle, blueberry jam, and good solid stew spice like bay leaves. Graphite and dark nose.
