The quintessential feminine side of Margaux is represented by Prieure-Lichine-s 2011. Floral, raspberry, black cherry and currant notes intermixed with spice box are present in this deep ruby/purple-colored effort. The richness builds incrementally and becomes more impressive than it initially seems. This wine is concentrated ripe, full fruits, as well as intense acidity. It shows a forward style but doesn’t losing sight of its tight, dark structure.
A well-made, supple-textured, delicious 2011, it is an undeniable success for the vintage.
