This wine is a very deep ruby color with a beautiful nose of dried porcini mushrooms and forest floor, with a hunt of mustiness in the background. Added to this are slightly green overtones of green bell pepper and eucalyptus. When developed, some tobacco and leather shows through.
This blend of Cabernent Sauvignon and Petit Verdot is afed for 18 months in new, 2nd, and 3rd fill French oak. On the mouth, there are some dark cherries and a bit of cocoa with a nice touch of acidity. The fruit is more restrained on the finish, balancing out of the soft tannins and 14% alcohol.
