Showcasing a dark ruby red color, this wine offers intense fruity aromas of blackberries with fresh spice notes followed on the palate by harmonious flavors of red and black fruit. Medium-bodied, this wine has a persistent and complex finish with a structure that allows it to be enjoyed now, or left to age for up to a decade.
This wine can easily be paired with a seared porterhouse or stewed angus alongside assorted vegetable and cheeses.
A creamy, vanilla-drenched nose wraps around a blackcurrant core with occasional flashes of roasted coffee and earth. Cranberry and overripe strawberry gives it a slight confected note. Enticing saline notes linger on a long, cool finish.
A clear step up in the quality Cabernet ladder, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Antiguas Reservas feels quite fresh, balanced and harmonious, with some incipient complexity. The fruit is clean and the oak is nicely integrated. It has the classical Cabernet Sauvignon tannins, is quite polished with good balance and acidity, fresh and easy to drink. This is approachable and better with food. Good value and quite representative of its birthplace.
