In 2014, we débuted our first Covenant rosé under the RED C® label. It proved to be so popular that we made it a permanent part of our RED C® family. The wine is a lovely pale pink showing hints of raspberry and strawberry in the nose. On the palate it serves up a blend of citrus and spice flavors that give it just a hint of the exotic - perfect for pairing with just about any dish you can imagine. RED C Rosé is marvelously refreshing on its own, too, served slightly chilled. And that's the beauty of dry rosé: It goes with everything!
This year's rosé is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Zinfandel, Merlot, and just a touch of Cabernet. We ran out almost immediately last vintage. But this year, we made slightly more: 150 cases. It is only available direct from the winery.
This rose from famed California winemaker Covenant made from grapes sourced in the Napa Valley. It has a deeper red coloring than most rose's that is bright and clear. The aromas are strong and filled with a floral bouquet. Smelling this wine is almost like the experience of walking into a boutique flower ship. The taste is long and crisp with more floral and fruity notes to taste, and is balanced by the acidity and makes the wine refreshingly dry. Let this wine sit on the tongue and the experience draws itself out. Highly rated and highly drinkable. Best served chilled and pairs well with soft cheeses and light pastas.
