Disaronno fan? This may be more excitement than you can handle. Are you sat down? Disaronno Riserva is a marriage of classic Disaronno and Scotch whisky aged for six months within oak barrels that previously held Marsala wine! The process takes place at the Florio cellars on Sicily, by the sea, with the wine having been produced by Duca di Salaparuta (also part of the Saronno group). Limited to 10,000 bottles worldwide. Enjoy neat or over ice.
Nose: Classic almond and marzipan notes with richer spice and a more rounded profile. Orchard fruit, mixed peels, vanilla.
Palate: Dry toffees and spices, plenty more almond character, bergamot, hints of leather, star anise.
Finish: Sweet, drying spice and bakewell.
