Already a fan of Burgundian maestro Nicolas Potel's entry-level offering and wondering if it can get any better? It certainly can, with his next step up the village level. From the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges, this vibrant, sensual Pinot is floral and fragrant with nice acidity. Delightfully substantial, sweet and creamy.
Once again there is relatively strong reduction present on the mildly woody nose. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the detailed and muscular middle weight flavors that also exude a fine bead of minerality onto the rustic and austere but not hard finish that suggests this should reach its apogee in 7 to 8 years.
