Hailing from Vezelay, Domaine de la Cadette’s vines are nestled amongst the Morvan mountain range in northern Burgundy. Grapes for ‘La Chatelaine’ come from 25 year old vines anchored in limestone soils, providing healthy nutrition to the fruit. The Chardonnay is aged 7-10 months in stainless steel, preserving the grapes’ natural fruit forward flavors and bright acidity. Pairs with basically anything and everything.
From soccer moms to sommeliers, Chardonnay's tooth-chattering acidity and lush tropicality manage to suit all types of drinkers and styles under its inimitably big tent. The white of Burgundy. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks on the lees, which helps to give it texture while preserving the freshness and character of the fruit. Delicate and clean with notes of lemon, green apple, chalk and white flowers, it has a refreshing acidity and a round texture.
