Domaine de la Cornasse is led by Nathalie Geoffroy. Established in 1850 her family winery is regarded locally as one of the classic Chablisenne producers. They make Bourgogne Blanc, Chablis, Premier Cru and Grand Cru Chablis wines at their winery in the village of Beines and the appellation of Chablis. Their vineyards rest on Kimmeridgian soil--the ancient bed of of the Atlantic Ocean that is now clay/limestone with a heavy, nutrient blessed, mixture of fossilized oysters, fish skeletons and other sea life.
Chardonnay looks like a tall lady with a pale white gold robe with green hues. Brilliant, limpid and luminous, it exhales in the glass with a rich and ripe nose of white flowers. It evolves towards flavors of yellow flesh fruits with sweet and sweet notes.
The mouth is round, unctuous with a beautiful vivacity.
A pure and chiselled wine that will make happy on white fish leases!
