Domaine Jean Grivot Nuits St. Georges Les Charmois 2014
Moderately limpid, ruby colour. Barely intense, some spices on the nose. Flabby tannins, mineral, smooth, light-medium bodied, some red fruit leftovers – you feel this guy has well aged but still wants to go, that is adding to his character, which is enjoyable and makes it fun drinking. Drink up, it is over its peak (but still enjoyable).
A delicate NSG with a touch of Grivot rusticity. Your brain must be flexible. Divided in two parts, and if both work well independently, it is like a good piano interpretation, things come together nicely.
With lots of airing it will really open nicely, and the green notes will disappear. Very elegant expression from this one.
