Among Gevrey-Chambertin's most delicate crus, this wine shows elegant, silky flavors and aromas of cherries and crushed red berries offset by subtle spice notes with a final impression of great finesse.
The Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques has a lively, vivacious bouquet with vibrant red cherries, redcurrant and orange rind scents that remain very controlled yet at the same time, very detailed. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, elegant in style, silky smooth in texture leading to a detailed, mineral-driven and harmonious finish that has grace and panache. This is superb. These tasting notes belong under the umbrella of "Louis Jadot", though it should be pointed out that these bottlings are under "Domaine Louis Jadot", that is to say that the company owns the vines rather than through contracts with growers.
