The Pinot Blanc by Weinbach offers a delicate nose of fresh fruit and apple notes. With good structure in the mouth, it maintains its purity and contrast between freshness, acidity and ripe fruit. A dry white perfect to accompany quiches, fish dishes, soufflés and salads with goat cheese.
An outstanding value, the 2014 Pinot Blanc Reserve features apple, mirabelle and pear notes with subtle hints of toasted nuts. It strikes a delightful balance between a rich, creamy texture and fresh fruit vivacity with an attractively persistent finish.
As ever, the blend here is 70% Auxerrois and 30% Pinot Blanc - entirely within the AOC rules - from 45 year old vines in the historic Clos des Capucines. Elevage is done in wooden fuders. Structured and serious (that’s the Auxerrois), with complex mineral and earthy notes, cold stone fruits and a delicate touch of almond blossom on the finish.
