2015 was an ideal growing season throughout Oregon - an early bud break and long warm summer led Duck Pond to use a variety of vineyard sources throughout Willamette Valley and their Coles Valley Vineyard in Umpqua Valley.
The 2015 Pinot Noir jumps out of the glass - with lively red fruits on the nose, and flavors of cherry, red fruits, spice, minerals. The finish is long with depth and richness characteristic of a great vintage. Enjoy this Pinot Noir with a meal of your choosing - it really is quite the chameleon in the kitchen.
Stemmy and acidic, with tart cherry notes on this Oregon Pinot Noir, with a wonderfully lifted, bright mid-palate. Earth and cranberry aromas with a spice edge. Lovely balance that makes this red wine both edgy and racy and very food friendly. This is also a very reasonable price for Oregon Pinot Noir. Pair with planked salmon.
Pinot Noir food pairings: veal chops, spiced duck breasts, pizza with anchovies.
