Rebula is the indigenous variety of the Brda region. It has been produced in this region for centuries, which proves that our climate is ideal for its cultivation. Rebula is best grown on sunny terraces more than 150 metres above sea level with poor marl soil and occasional winds. Ferdinand is a wine house of Rebula’s. Rumena rebula - Ribolla gialla is a wine we produce since our beginnings.
Rebula Brutus has been cultivated for centuries in both Slovenia and Italy (where it’s called Ribolla Gialla). It’s often fermented in stainless steel to produce a fresh wine, but it can also show great aging potential when it’s aged in oak barrels prior to bottling.
