Deep garnet core. Expressive notes of Raspberry, pomegranate, cranberry, blood orange and hibiscus are supported bydried tea leaf and tobacco on the nose. The palate is texturally pronounced with robing, fine grained tannins and bright,coastal acidity through the finish.
Camp Meeting Ridge is the oldest of the Flowers vineyards. Calera and Swan clones comprise the core of this blend along with the distinguishing spice from the Dijon 115 and 777 vines. All fruit rigorously hand sorted and fully de-stemmed with no crushing. Pre-fermentation cold soak4-5 days. Full native yeast primary fermentation. Matured for 15 months in French oak barrels, 55% new. Deep crimson-garnet in colour with bluish highlights on the rim. Fresh blueberry and elegant spice aromas of clove and mace are matched with flavours of blackberry, and dried cherry. Bright acidity and supple tannins are followed by a long, silky finish.
