GROWING REGION Mendoza is widely considered the most important wine growing region in all of Argentina. It is home to some of the highest altitude vineyards in the world and it is located in the eastern foothills of the Andes.The Malbec grapes for this wine were selected from two of the region’s most prominent districts; Maipu, which is located in the Northwest of Mendoza province, and Valle de Uco which lies southwest of Mendoza city.
WINEMAKING All fruit was hand harvested, with bunch selection followed by destemming. Gentle pneumatic pressing was used throughout the process to ensure the wine retained its freshness. After a long, cool fermentation the wine was aged for 12 month is French and American oak.
WINEMAKER’S NOTES The 2015 Greg Norman Estates Malbec is a deep, crimson color with seamless purple hues. The aromas are incredibly inviting with bright notes of ripe plum, blackberry and spice which lead to a juicy palate where the nose rings true. The intense fruit favors mingle with notes of vanilla, clove spice and subtle violet candy. The wine is powerful yet smooth with well integrated tannins and good overall balance.
