GROWING REGION The Marlborough region of New Zealand is like none other in the world and is well known for growing outstanding Sauvignon Blanc.The Marlborough region is located in the northeast of the South Island. Strong diurnal temperatures allow the sun-loving Sauvignon Blanc to ripen to the fullest but the very cool evenings ensure the grapes retain their bright acidity. The unique and distinct favor prole is the hallmark of the region and a favorite among wine drinkers.
WINEMAKING The Sauvignon Blanc fruit for this particular wine was sourced predominantly from the Awatere Valley sub-region of Marlborough, known for oering more dry herb notes and rich texture. The fruit was harvested in the cool of the night and then pressed on receipt into the winery. The free run juice was inoculated with a carefully selected yeast strain and fermented in stainless steel to retain the vibrant fresh fruit characters of the wine.
