Perfumed citrus blossom, clove spice, marzipan with mineral-laden creme brulee and honeydew melon show in the nose. In the mouth, the wine is broad and quite viscous yet bright with spicy apricot, honey and ripe yellow plum flavors with a long rich finish.
Supple, sleek and generous, with pear and spice flavors, harmonious and expressive on a lighter-style frame. Has elegance and grace.
With minimal and gentle handling of my wines in the cellar and by seeking balanced, low yields in selected vineyards, I strive to produce handmade wines of individuality and elegance. Enjoy these wines in good spirits, and with good health and good friends." -Eric Hamacher
Whole cluster pressing, malolactic fermentation and weekly stirring of the lees for close to a year create elegant, supple, broad and satisfying Chardonnays of great complexity. Pear, citrus, talc and anise dominate the aromatics, with mineral-laden crème brûlée and apples on the palate. Eric’s Chardonnay is created from the Dijon clone grapes that thrive in Oregon’s cool-climate vineyards.
