The 2014 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep dark intense looking wine. Fresh blackberry and blueberry pie fill the glass. Powdered cocoa, coffee grounds and fresh ground pepper are also apparent. This is one of the richer and rounder Spring Mountain Cabernets. Cinnamon, cedar and more blackberry all present themselves on the palate.
The tannins are soft and chalky balancing the firm mountain acidity. This Cabernet presents itself well in its youth but will age nicely over the next 9-11 years (2025-2027).
