This 2014 is made with free run juice from various Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir vineyards, and Valdiguie from French Camp and Shell Creek vineyards near Shandon. The Pinot portion adds a bit of richness and roundness to this wine, without taking away from the refreshing light nature. We enjoy the Valdiguie here for its lively crisp and refreshing strawberry scented aspect.
These grapes are combined to create a young, dry rose that drinks well before dinner, makes a wonderful "wake up call" for the palate, and can match lighter foods very well. This can be enjoyed very young for it freshness, and will gain richness and complexity over the next year. We think this is an impeccable rose that gives joy in a light and refreshing manner, and can be enjoyed in any season, and in any setting.
