The Howard Park single vineyard regional concept is designed to highlight the distinctive regional and site characteristics of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz from our best vineyard sites in the two premier West Australian grape growing regions of Margaret River and the Great Southern.
This wine has a wild, ethereal presence with aromas of briary, hedgerow fruits. Fragrant sweet spice and doughy oak notes add a warmth and dimension. More refined than robust, the palate’s soft, plush red fruits give richness and the fine line of supple tannins, length and structure.
A powerful variety that makes arguably the world’s greatest red wines. Characters include blackcurrant, mint, leaf, eucalyptus and black olive with other nuances of cigar box, cedar, chocolate, tobacco, coffee and mocha. Best in moderately cool areas and generally blended with other Bordeaux varieties (Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Franc).
