Howard Park's 'Leston' label showcases the classic regional characters of Margaret River grapes. The wine was made from Shiraz in the Yallingup and Wilyabrup sub-regions of Margaret River. The maritime climate and gravelly bony soils produce low yields of concentrated rich fruit driven wine typical of Margaret River Shiraz. Matured in new and second use oak barriques for 18 months, this is a top quality Margaret River Shiraz with a long life ahead of it.
Howard Park Leston Shiraz layers of black fruits and almost creamy tannins show; needless to say, the cedary impact of the French oak also plays a significant role.
