In 2015 we continued to include two very special vineyards from the upper King Valley: Symphonia Vineyard at Myrrhee (altitude 350m) and Crouchers Vineyard at Whitlands (altitude 800m). These parcels add a spike of minerally and citrus to the wine.
The 2015 vintage will prove to be our best vintage yet. I cannot remember a year where good yields were matched in harmony with such pristine fruit quality. The weather gods have smiled on us this year and it will be exciting to see the progression of these wines over the coming 12 months and beyond.
Aromas of fresh cut pears, snow pea shoots, and lemon thyme. On the palate, lime flowers and a touch of miso. The palate is fresh, crisp and bone-dry. It finishes with a twang, like lemon sorbet. Very moreish. Pair with a goat cheese salad with croutons and fresh oysters. Beer battered whiting with tartare and big chips. Also pairs nicely with brie.
Made in the cool climate Yarra Valley region of Victoria, this Oz white is a delight! Crammed full of pear and apple fruit flavours on the nose, the pear richness follows through on the palate with a delicious twist of lime and lemon freshness on the finish.
A delicious white on its own and great with fish or seafood or lighter chicken dishes. Highly recommended.
